An early years nature program weaving play, creativity and environmental learning.
Nature Club is a holistic play and learning program designed to nurture a love for the natural world from the earliest years. We believe that fostering care for the earth begins with curiosity, community and freedom to explore. Through sensory-rich experiences, creative nature crafts and gentle environmental learning, children build confidence, creativity and a personal connection with the land.
Friday Fortnight Location: Private, bushy property in Helensburgh (address given on booking)
Time: 9:30-11am
Ages: 1-4/5 years or School Preparedness/Homeschool Stream (4/5-9 years)
Dates: 17th October, 31st October, 14th November, 28th November, 12th December.
Each session is intentionally structured around a gentle rhythm blending free play, environmental learning and mindful moments.
Arrival & Free Play (9:30am)
Families are greeted and invited to settle in with open-ended play opportunities such as juicing, playdough, natural sensory play, water play, mud kitchens and imaginative play and nature crafts. This unhurried start allows children to flow naturally into play in a relaxed, nature-filled environment.
Circle Time (10:20–10:30am)
Gathered in community, families share morning tea together. Children experience an Acknowledgement of Country, an environmental concept or story and a short grounding exercise to connect them with the land and each other.
Activity Choice (10:30–11:00am)
Children are invited into deeper exploration through a guided nature challenge, mindfulness activities & stories or continued free play. This flexible closing rhythm honours both structured learning and child-led discovery.
School Preparedness / Homeschool Stream (running concurrently): small group of 10 families
Alongside the early years Nature Club, we offer a Homeschool Stream designed especially for school-aged children or children the year prior to starting school (approx 5-9yo). This stream is guided by a homeschooling mum of four and qualified teacher, providing a nurturing, holistic learning space that blends creativity, academics and environmental education. This stream is perfect for families with siblings in both age groups, offering a cohesive rhythm that allows everyone to learn, play, and explore together. This stream will join the larger group for circle time and the activity choice. We believe that school preparedness goes beyond worksheets and academic skills. True readiness is holistic, nurturing a strong sense of self, emotional regulation strategies and an understanding of the world around them. At Nature Club, this is all guided by the EYLF and brought to life through play, creativity and connection with nature.
What to Bring: picnic rug, morning tea, water bottle, hat/sun protection and a change of clothes.
