Common Questions

What if we have more children than the recommended group size?

We can absolutely accommodate larger groups with a few small adjustments. To keep the experience engaging and manageable for all children, we recommend adding an extra activity station (like a tuff tray, playdough setup, or tea party) for $40 per additional activity. For groups with significantly more children, our Preschool Deluxe Package includes a larger setup and is perfect for special events or centre-wide experiences. We’ll help you choose the best option for your numbers and space!

What if we are a smaller centre with mixed ages?

Many of our sessions are designed to be inclusive of different developmental stages. For centres with mixed-age groups, we offer layered invitations within the same session so that infants, toddlers, and preschoolers can all engage meaningfully. Simply let us know your age range and group size - we’ll adapt the experience to suit.

Can we include special activities or extras in our session?

Yes! We offer beautiful, enriching add-ons to enhance your session:

  • Potion Table: A magical sensory experience with fizzing, colourful ingredients. Perfect for ages 3–5. (+$50 per group of 15 children)
  • Nature Art or Craft: A hands-on, creative project using natural materials. (+$5 per child (min. 10)
  • Additional Activity Station: Great for groups 4+ over the size guide. Includes extra play setups like tuff trays or tea party tables (+$40 per activity).

Can we choose a theme for our incursion?

Absolutely! Choose from one of our signature themes or request a custom focus:

  • Nature Play
  • Wildlife Warriors
  • Storybook Explorers
  • Australiana
  • Fantastic Beasts
  • Custom Theme: We’re happy to collaborate on something special just for your learners.

Are your sessions aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)?

Yes - deeply and intentionally. Every session supports the five EYLF learning outcomes and is guided by the principles and practices of the framework. We design our experiences to foster identity, wellbeing, communication, confident learning, and belonging through hands-on play. Optional educator resources are also available to support reflection and documentation.

Why should we choose a sensory or nature play incursion?

Sensory and nature play are more than fun—they’re foundational to early learning. These experiences support brain development, emotional regulation, communication, motor skills, and social connection. Our sessions offer learning wrapped in play, bringing richness, joy, and meaning to your programming.

What makes your incursions different?

Our sessions are pedagogically rich, EYLF-aligned, and intentionally crafted by a qualified educator. We blend nature-based, sensory-rich invitations with creative storytelling and open-ended discovery. Each session is lovingly designed to meet children where they are, offering depth, delight, and development all in one.
